Move & Groove for Tykes & Tots [18 months-2.9 yrs.]

Creative movement is for all children, boys and girls, to explore their sense of self and the environment.  Parents and tots will have the opportunities to move, play, and connect with each other and other families.  Multi-sensory, developmentally targeted movement will promote social, emotional and physical awareness skills.  Class is focused around the children; however, parents will have special time to learn your child’s unique view of the world and share experiences with other parents.  Use of movement games, music, rhythm, balls, scarves, obstacle courses and other props will enhance the natural curiosity and creativity of your child.  Your child may be escorted and participate each week with a parent, grandparent or caregiver.

Class Day & Time: Friday, 4:30-5:15pm, starts 9/21, ends 11/2 | Fees: $50/Six-Week Session
What to Wear: Students can wear anything that does not restrict his/her movement.  Some students enjoy wearing leotards and tights but it is not required.  Warm up suits, short and tee shirts are acceptable.  We do request all student's wear shoes. (Sessions are offered four times a year)

KinderMoves [Ages 2.9 – 5 yrs.]

Over 35 years ago Brenda along with early childhood teaching specialist Cheryl Henderson developed a creative movement curriculum incorporating solid principles to develop social, emotional and physical awareness skills.
Kindermoves is a signature program at BBS and is an action-packed class using props like, balls, scarves, parachutes, obstacle courses and much more. Students are introduced to follow along dances and gymnastics skills which increase in complexity with continued participation.  Each six-week session may follow a specific theme.  We use party lighting, upbeat music and relate by incorporating a current trend of characters or movie soundtrack.  At the end of each class you will greet your child in the lobby wearing a big smile and bursting with energy.
We know this is also an exciting time for parents as it may be the first formal independent, social and learning experience for their child.  We appreciate your enthusiasm and invite your family and friends to enjoy this milestone by attending the last class of our session.  Be sure and bring your camera to capture where it all begins.   After Kindermoves many of our students join our dance family to continue their dance education,  some until they graduate high school.

Class Day & Time: Thursday, 5:30-6:15pm, starts 9/20, ends 11/1 | Fees: $50/Six-Week Session

KinderKicks [Ages 4–6yrs.]

Now the excitement really begins as your child embarks on a full year program offering weekly 45-minute classes from September to May.  At the start of the year the student continues where they left off in KinderMoves, participating in all the fun and familiar activities that made them love to move.  We gradually increase the complexity of movement and duration.  The second half of the year we will work together to create a dance/gymnastics routine that will ensure a successful performance for your child’s first dance recital.  This is super exciting with the sparkly costume, group pictures, dress rehearsals and the show.

Prerequisite:  We recommend students participate in two sessions or more of KinderMoves prior to enrolling in KinderKicks.  Those who attend two sessions of KinderMoves will have priority in reserving a space in the class.

Class Day & Time: (45 Minute Class)
What to Wear: Students are to wear leotard and tights or warm up suit.  All students will need to purchase white gymnastics shoes ($22) which can be done at our open house.  Long hair should be pulled back and jewelry is prohibited.  Please encourage your little dancer to get a drink and use the restroom before class so that we can maximize our time together.
