KinderMoves [Ages 2.9 – 5 yrs.] May 2-June 6. 6:00-6:45 PM

Over 40 years ago, Brenda and early childhood teaching specialist Cheryl Henderson developed a creative movement curriculum incorporating solid principles to develop social, emotional, and physical awareness skills.
Kindermoves is a signature program at BBS and is an action-packed class using props like balls, scarves, parachutes, obstacle courses, and much more. Students are introduced to follow-along dances and gymnastics skills that increase in complexity with continued participation. Each six-week session may follow a specific theme. We use party lighting and upbeat music and relate by incorporating a current trend of characters or movie soundtrack. At the end of each class, you will greet your child in the lobby wearing a big smile and bursting with energy.
We know this is also an exciting time for parents as it may be their child's first formal independent, social, and learning experience.  We appreciate your enthusiasm and invite your family and friends to enjoy this milestone by attending the last class of our session.  Be sure to bring your camera to capture where it all begins.   After Kindermoves, many of our students join our dance family to continue their dance education, some of which will continue until they graduate high school.

What to Wear:  Students can wear anything that does not restrict his/her movement.  Warm-up suits, shorts and tee shirts, leotards, and tights are each acceptable.  We do request all students wear shoes. (Sessions are offered four times a year)

Move & Groove for Tykes & Tots [18 months-2.9 yrs.)

Check back in the spring for the next session.

Creative movement allows all children, boys, and girls, to explore their sense of self and the environment.  Parents and tots can move, play, and connect with other families.  The multi-sensory, developmentally targeted movement will promote social, emotional, and physical awareness skills.  Class is focused on the children; however, parents will have a special time to learn about their child’s unique view of the world and share experiences with other parents.  Using movement games, music, rhythm, balls, scarves, obstacle courses, and other props will enhance your child's natural curiosity and creativity.  Your child must be escorted and participate with a parent, grandparent, or caregiver each week.

What to Wear: Students can wear anything that does not restrict his/her movement.  Some students enjoy wearing leotards and tights but are not required to.  Warm-up suits, shorts, and tee shirts are acceptable.  We do request all students wear shoes. (Sessions are offered four times a year)
