Q: What does the recital fee we paid cover?

A: Every student will receive a link to download the recital video. The fee also covers awards, she props, and staffing and time spent at dress rehearsal.

A: The last class for our full year program will be the week of April 13, with the last class being held on Sunday, April 19.

Q: When is dress rehearsal?

Q: What do they wear to dress rehearsal?

A: All performers should wear their recital tee shirt and shorts, leggings or warm up pants, along with appropriate footwear specific to your class.

TICKETS

Q: When will tickets go on sale?

A: March 30. They may be purchased at BBS before or after classes. All student accounts must be paid before buying tickets. The cost of tickets is $17. Children 3 and under will not need a ticket.

Q: Will tickets be available at the Dress Rehearsal and at the door?

A: Yes, we will sell tickets at both rehearsals. Tickets at the door will be sold 30 minutes before showtime and will be $20.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Q: What Time do we need to be there before the show?

A: Performers should report to the backstage area 45 minutes before the start of the show (2:15 PM)

Q: When will the audience be seated?

A: The audience will be admitted 45 -60 minutes before the start of the show. Seating is general and no one can save seats in advance.

Q: How long will the show last?

A: The show is expected to last approximately 3 hours. This includes the awards ceremony.

Q: Which show is videotaped?

A: Our second show will be videotaped. All students paid for the link to stream the recital video. Ordering a DVD or Blu-ray Disc is available but only necessary if you want more than the streaming rights. The link will be emailed to you when video is available to stream.

Q: What awards are presented on which night?

A: First show awards: 5, 8, 10, 12-year awards. The second show is the Seniors Salute, 1st Year Award, Most Improved, Outstanding Achievement, Star Performer, Champion, All-Star, etc.

Q: What is the order of the show?

A: You can download the show order from our website using the recital link.

Q: How do I get a program?

A: Complete recital program is available to download or follow online during the show. It will also be projected onto the side wall.

Q: Do students have to participate In both shows?

A: Students are required to dance in both shows. This keeps the integrity of our show intact, allows students to have enhanced experience, and rewards them for their hard work all year.

Q: Can performers sit in the audience?

A: NO! Due to limited seating and fairness to all performers, no one in the show can sit in the audience.

Q: What post show details should I know?

A: Following the slideshow, we will have all students in grade two and under to remain on stage for a parent or confirmed adult to escort the student. If your dancer is older, please talk about a plan where you want to meet. All dancers will need to go backstage to retrieve their belongings. We will be stationed at all exits to ensure the safe departure of our students. No students will be dismissed out of the auditorium without an adult.

Q. Can students leave once they have performed their routines?

A: All students are to remain until the show is completed. Every student will perform together in our finale dance, ensuring the audience's energy is consistent for all dancers. All dancers will receive a light-up wristband during the finale.

Finale Costume: Boys wear their recital costume, seniors wear their solo costume, ladies wear the recital tee shirt and black pants.

ALL OTHER PERFORMERS wear their Giving Stage Costume issued back in the fall.

BACK STAGE

Q: Who watches the students backstage?

A: Parent volunteers are assigned to various groups of students and identified by wearing pink staff shirts. Parents not on the volunteer list will not be permitted backstage. If your dancer has any special needs or circumstances, please bring them to our attention so we can inform our volunteer staff. Parents will not be permitted backstage during intermission unless they are a volunteer.

Q: What is the backstage like?

A: Backstage is the school hallways. This arrangement works well to spread the dancers out while keeping them contained for easy organization and line up. The band room is designated for the dressing room. There will be a tour of the backstage area for all first-year students.

Q: What should my child bring backstage?

A: Please organize and mark costumes (including shoes and accessories) with her name. Students may bring a blanket to sit on, books, coloring books, and games. We will not be responsible for the loss or theft of electronic devices, so use your discretion. Students may bring a water bottle and a light snack. Please use good judgment on the snack; nothing messy or heavy that might upset a nervous tummy.

OTHER HELPFUL TIPS

Q: What are some costume tips?

A: 1. Come dressed in your first costume. After your last routine, change into your finale costume. Red shirt, light band and black pants.

2. Most of the costumes will be tights underneath. Please do not wear underwear under tights; it shows through and really draws negative attention to the costume.

3. At a minimum, wear your hair back In a ponytail. Ballet students' hair should be in a bun. Please apply makeup to enhance features and keep it age-appropriate. Do not overdo the makeup; we appreciate the natural beauty of our dancers.

Q. What are some other recital tips?

A: 1. Be sure your dancer eats well before the show.

2. Be sure to tell your child how proud you are and how brave he/she is to get on stage to entertain a large crowd.

3. Take plenty 'of time to talk about the recital and what to expect.

Q: Are there concessions available at the recital?

A: Yes, you’ll be supporting Landon’s Library. Sales are Cash only.

Q: Are there flowers for sale?

A: Be sure to get your dancer a bouquet to celebrate her performance. The money from flower sales will also benefit Landon’s Library. Supplies are limited, so shop early.

Q: Are there spring or summer classes?

A: We offer private lessons in gymnastics and dance, dance and gymnastics camps. camp Funshine, and a six-week spring gymnastics session. All these programs can be found on our website for more details and registration.

Q: When is registration for 2026--27 classes?

A: Our registration will open July 28. Classes are scheduled to begin after Labor Day
